About Voice Over II

In this online interactive course, each week a specific technique will be selected, worked on during class and recorded for critique. The weeks’ selections will pertain to: radio and TV commercials, audio book reads, narration, character voices, industrial reads, technical reads and on-hold services. Giving you an in depth look into the wide range of opportunities that can be pursued in voice over work.

  • Mondays 7PM-9:30PM ET Live Online Via Zoom

  • Class Dates: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18

  • PREREQUISITE: Voice Over 1 or permission from instructor. Adults 18+

Wayne David Parker

Voice Over & Film Instructor

Wayne David Parker has been an actor in the Detroit area for 38 years. He has been a Voice Over and Film instructor at MAS since 2014, and is also currently teaching at Wayne State University. He is a veteran of over 30 years in Voice Over, and has over 20 national campaigns to his credit, most recently, the voice of Pennzoil from 2011 thru May 2013. He has also appeared in 17 feature films, most notably as Da Jimmer in Escanaba in da Moonlight, a role which he originated first in the stage version of the same name. He is a stage combat instructor and choreographer. Wayne teaches VO from an acting viewpoint and enjoys coaching his students thru to a VO demo.
