About Improv For Everyone

Do you want to be a better communicator? Do you sometimes feel anxiety in social situations? Do you just want to have some fun? Then this 6 week class is definitely for you! Class will focus on using improv exercises and tools to enhance your communication skills, presentation skills, interview skills and even your dating skills. You will learn to play improv games such as those in “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and have fun in a safe, non-judgemental environment while building confidence and comfort in front of people in business and social situations. This class is open to all—no experience required and you don’t even have to be funny.

Andi Maziarz

Improv Instructor

Andi Maziarz is a well known actor, improviser, writer and teacher. A native Detroiter, she has returned to her hometown after living and working in Los Angeles for the last 10 years. Andi has trained with the best in both LA and Chicago and has completed programs at the renowned Improv Olympic (iO) and Annoyance Theatre. A mainstage cast member of ComedySportz Detroit and original cast member of the Planet Ant Farm Team, she has also graced various stages in LA, Chicago, Grand Rapids and Detroit. Andi is the Director of Development for Planet Ant Theatre, Director of Finance for the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival and is an improv instructor for the Birmingham Public School district. Andi also uses her improv skills in everyday life as an attorney and real estate investor. She is excited to join the faculty and to share the joy of improv with others.
